The Impact of Climate Change on the Spread of Diseases Carried by the Black-Legged Tick

The black-legged tick is a vector for many diseases such as Lyme disease and the Powassan virus, and its range has been expanding due to the effects of climate change. In order to reveal the drivers of black-legged tick expansion and generate predictive maps for emerging tick-borne disease hotspots, this project will compile long-term surveillance data on black-legged tick distribution and correlate it with climate datasets.
