Injury-Specific Casualty Morbidity Modeling: Resolving Patient Progression by Body Region in Medical Mission Simulations

Military medical planning tools advance patients along fixed injury severity progressions, largely insensitive to injury specifics and details of care received. This project explores an analytical approach for a more dynamic patient model to represent realistic changes in injury severity in response to treatment. In support of this, statistical analysis and visualization of simulation outputs as well as software code quality assurance help validate the model's behavior and identify where enhanced patient modeling can improve the fidelity of simulated medical response insights.
