Comparative Validation of Mid-Fidelity Vortex-Based Simulations for Dragonfly Rotorcraft Aerodynamics.

This project evaluates the accuracy of mid-fidelity, vortex-based aerodynamic simulations in modeling the rotor performance of the Dragonfly rotorcraft. Using the solver DUST, simulation results are compared against existing high-fidelity computational data to assess how well lower-cost methods capture key aerodynamic behavior. The goal is to better understand the tradeoffs between simulation fidelity and computational efficiency in rotorcraft design.
