Let's Play Disc Golf: Exploring the Effects of AI Verbosity on Motor-Skills Training in VR
This experiment explores how the verbosity of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) coach affects learning, performance, and user experience in a Virtual Reality (VR) disc golf task. Participants play a short VR disc golf game while receiving AI-generated coaching in one of three styles: simple, normal, or wordy. The experiment requires real-time adjustments, repeated physical interaction, and trust in AI; therefore, its findings enable us to examine how the length and detail of feedback influence motor-skill practice, cognitive load, and perceived usefulness in immersive training environments.
