Sponge-Bacteria Coupled Biosensors for Marine Environments

We are working on temporarily engineering marine bacteria to function as biosensors for environmental contaminants. These bacteria are isolated from sponge microbiomes and then reintroduced into the sponges, creating living biosensors.
