Hyperspectral Imaging: The Solution to Your Grainy Images
Have you ever had trouble detecting what exactly a material was in a grainy, pixelated image?
This occurs when a single pixel covers multiple objects in a scene, a problem hyperspectral imaging (HSI) is set to fix. Using MATLAB code, statistics behind a grainy image can be generated, providing both a quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the materials in an image at the sub-pixel level(spectral profiles/signatures), enabling the differentiation of the materials in a pixel to be possible- HSI is a necessity for defense, agriculture, medical diagnosis, environmental monitoring, and even detection of hazardous chemicals.
