Electric Unfolding Rotorcraft Observational Platform Armament (EUROPA)
To facilitate the rapid collection of photographic data from an aerial drone, the EUROPA is a quadcopter designed to be launched by rocket motor in an folded-up aerodynamic shape before unfolding into it's flight configuration. This rocket launch and unfolding mechanism enables the EUROPA to be deployed over it's target site far faster than a standard drone. For this project, I work on redesign the folding arms which enable a fast and safe deployment of the EUROPA.
