Cost-Effective Fabrication of Hollow Fibers Using Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) with AI-Optimized Motor Vibration
Water contamination, especially relating to waterborne diseases, is a big concern in developing nations that lack proper water and sanitation infrastructure. To improve water quality and improve flow rates, we explored 3D printing hollow-fiber membranes using Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) combined with piezoelectric induced frequency to reduce biofouling. Finally, we investigated using AI to better optimize piezoelectric frequencies based on specific water data such as pH, temperature, and flow rate.
