Utilizing Large Language Models to Improve Efficiency: A Material Selection Exemplar

This project explores the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) in order to approximate the decision support analysis involved in material selection. This project uses structured prompts to APL local-hosted LLMs in order to produce custom decision support frameworks and rank various materials within that framework. As part of this presentation attendees will be able to prompt the prototype with their own material selection problem and see the framework and recommended materials in response.
