A Compartmental SEIR Model to Explore the Effect of Misinformation and Vaccination Campaigns on Measles Transmission in Gaines County, Texas
In the United States, decreasing measles vaccination rates below the 95% threshold for herd immunity has led to increased measles cases, resulting in outbreaks. A compartmental SEIR model was developed to examine how misinformation and vaccination campaigns influence measles cases. These findings can be used to inform future public health interventions toward combatting misinformation and vaccination.
