Inconel 718 is a nickel-based superalloy commonly used as a material for laser powder bed fusion (LBPF), an additive manufacturing process that melts powdered metal with a laser. This project used the phase-field simulation software MICRESS to analyze the effects of LBPF on the microstructure evolution of Inconel 718.
