AI for Efficient HVAC Control @ APL by Grace Hollenbach

Heating, Ventilation, and Cooling (HVAC) accounts for roughly 40% of the energy use of industrial buildings. Significant energy savings are possible through smarter control.  In this project, we are applying offline deep reinforcement learning (DRL) to HVAC data collected from APL's Building 7, with the goal of producing climate control that is both performant and efficient.
